After graduating from Hosei University in 1979 with a BA in Japanese Literature, he joined Kitty Records. He has worked as a tour manager for “Anzen-Chitai”, a character licensee for “What's Michael” and others, and a producer for “The Adventure of T-Rex”, an animation co-produced by Japan and the U.S.
■ In 2000, he became the president of Madhouse Inc. He was in charge of the production committee and producer of the movie “NASU: Summer in Andalusia”, the movie “Tokyo Godfathers”, and the TV series “MouSou Agency”, etc.
■ In 2006, he launched “Marugoto Anime” (now Video Market), a site specializing in anime, at Video Market, Inc., the world's first mobile video distribution company. His publications include “Anime Business ga Wakaru” (NTT Publishing) published in Japan and China, “Anime Sangyo Report” (Japan Animation Association), “Digital de Kawaru Anime Business” (NTT Publishing), and “Anime Business Complete Guide” (Seikaisha), “Animation Terminology Encyclopedia” (Rittosha), etc.

Born in Hokkaido in 1954. After graduating from Hosei University, he joined Kitty Records and worked at Bronze Shinsha before becoming the representative director of animation production company Madhouse in 2000. In 2005, he founded Video Market and joined its board of directors. Currently serves as an advisor and representative director of C+.
He is also a part-time lecturer at Hosei University Graduate School of Policy and Creative Studies, Vice-Chairman of the Human Resource Development Committee and the Business Committee of the Association of Japanese Animations, and Chairman of the Statistics Data Working Group.
